Detailed job description and main responsibilities Applicants should possess a recognised Medical degree, MRCP (UK) or MRCPCH and at least 2 years experience in Dermatology. It is a condition of appointment that members of staff are satisfactorily health cleared prior to commencing work. All medical staff are required to be registered with the General Medical Council. Objectives of Post Progress Dermatology Training towards obtaining required competencies to work as an independent dermatology consultant. Variation to Job Description The job description may be subject to change according to the varying needs of the service. Such changes will be made after discussion between the post holder and his/her manager. All duties must be carried out under supervision or within Trust policy and procedure. You must never undertake any duties that are outside of your area of skill or knowledge level. If you are unsure you must seek clarification from a more senior member of staff. Please note, this is not a final job plan and will rotate between the two hospital sites: Day Monday (CW) 09:30 - 13:30: MOPs (4 hours, DCC) 14:00 - 18:00: Paeds Clinic (4 hours, DCC) Tuesday (WM) 08:30 - 11:30: Admin (3 hours, DCC) 11:30 - 12:30: Telederm (1 hour, DCC) 13:30 - 16:30: Acne Clinic (3 hours, DCC) Wednesday (WM) 08:00 - 09:00: Ward Round (1 hour, DCC) 09:00 - 13:00: General Clinic (4 hours, DCC) 13:30 - 17:30: TWW Clinic/ Combined clinic 1:4 (4 hours, DCC) Thursday (CW) 08:00 - 09:00: Skin Cancer MDT (1 hour, DCC) 09:30 - 12:30: Skin Cancer/Joint MDT clinic (3 hours, DCC) 13:30 - 17:30: Teaching/CPD (4 hours, SPA) Friday (WM) 08:00 - 09:00: Ward Round (1 hour, DCC) 09:00 - 12:00: MOPs (3 hours, DCC) 14:00 - 17:00: Paeds Clinic (4 hours, DCC) Total : 40 hours Person specification Education and qualifications Essential criteria MBBS or equivalent Full registration with GMC Experience Essential criteria Previous Dermatology Experience at registrar level in the NHS (2 Years) Personal qualities Essential criteria Flexibility and objectivity Non-judgemental approach Important The closing date given is a guide only.
