Audit and Reporting Accountant London Bridge £50,000 - £70,000, subject to experience Our client is looking to recruit a talented and ambitious Audit and Reporting Accountant. They are one of the UK’s leading and award-winning providers of affordable homes in London, the South-East and surrounding areas. They provide and manage 50,000 homes to over 100,000 customers. As an Audit and Reporting Accountant here, you will be working within the Financial Control team to provide high-quality statutory accounting and audit services for our client and its associated companies. You will ensure accurate financial reporting, maintain strong financial controls, and support the audit process. They are looking for an ACA qualified accountant, either currently in practice and looking to move into industry or has already made the move into industry and is looking for a great employer and brilliant experience in the next stage of their career. Responsibilities Prepare and deliver statutory financial statements for our client and its subsidiaries, ensuring compliance with FRS 102 and statutory regulations. Assist in the timely submission of statutory accounts in line with audit schedules. Collaborate with external auditors, providing necessary documentation and acting as a key contact. Prepare monthly and quarterly financial reports, including balance sheets, profit and loss statements, and cash flow reports. Support financial analysis and internal reporting for senior management, aiding strategic decision-making. Ensure compliance with internal controls and financial regulations, identifying and addressing any control weaknesses. Skills and Experience Required Strong knowledge of statutory accounting, audit processes, and accounting standards (FRS 102, Housing SORP, IFRS). Excellent investigative accounting skills and the ability to resolve complex issues. Experience and understanding of audit processes and practice. Proficiency in producing regulatory returns and assisting with tax compliance. Strong communication skills and a collaborative team player.
