Liaising with various LT teams across the Group to ensure that costs are being captured correctly and in accordance with relevant accounting standards/SOX controls. Lead finance/budget reviews with the M&I Leadership Team. Lead the monthly forecasting process for M&I, including identifying risks and opportunities, and variance analysis/commentary. Manage the month-end process, including monthly accruals/prepayments and journals in line with the relevant accounting policies and procedures. Line management of an Assistant Management Accountant. Ensure compliance with necessary accounting standards and SOX controls. Assist in the annual budget preparation process - coordinate for the M&I function. Provide relevant, meaningful, and insightful financial information/analysis to assist departmental managers in their decision-making process. Ensure integrity of financial reporting. Be the go-to finance member for M&I. Ensure SOX processes are followed and documented. Hold regular budget reviews with the M&I LT to manage the forecast, risks & opportunities. Complete month-end processes by the relevant deadlines including general journals, recurring journals, recharges, and monthly forecast by COB WD5. Produce monthly reporting packs for M&I cost centre managers and CCO. Produce quarterly slide deck and associated summaries for the M&I quarterly business review. Work closely with PMO, the capex accountant, and the wider finance team to ensure recharges and capitalisation of costs are completed accurately and correctly.
