Large service business based in the Manchester area requires a FP&A Analyst for their growing team. Reporting to the Head of FP&A, this role offers an excellent opportunity to join a large commercial team that will offer an opportunity to develop and progress within the organisation. The role will lead on key FP&A deliverables with responsibilities for the following: Corporate month end reporting Year End and Half Year performance analysis: ownership of the management accounts pack supporting the group FD with year on year movement analysis and understanding Supporting on adhoc analysis and planning: in partnership with the various areas of the business The continuous development of reporting across the group: with proactive utilisation of our reporting tools Proactive analysis on current affairs impacting the aviation industry: including competitor analysis The right candidate for the role will be: A qualified accountant with experience leading and delivering financial analysis Strong modelling capability and advanced understanding of Microsoft Excel Excellent interpersonal, management & influencing skills. Can influence at all levels in the business in order to engage the co-operation of people who are not direct reports Ability to manage multiple priorities and to thrive under tight deadlines and high-pressure situations Self-motivated individual with effective organisational skills and a positive attitude that wants to develop themselves and those around them Good knowledge of Microsoft Word and Powerpoint, and a demonstrated ability to communicate opinions and findings in writing or by delivering presentations Possess exceptional analytical reasoning skills to consider problems thoroughly and to generate solutions Pro-active individual with a passion for analysis and a strong desire to develop knowledge across all areas of the business Strong commercial awareness and an ability to identify risks, mitigations and performance improvement opportunities Ability to understand and implement appropriate financial risk and controls processes within the FP&A environment In return, this role offers development, a motivated working environment, and an excellent package including hybrid working.
