English Teacher Location: Newport Contract: Full-Time, Permanent Salary: £158-£180 per day About the Role We are seeking an enthusiastic and dedicated English Teacher to join our school in Newport. The ideal candidate will inspire a love for literature and language, equipping students with the skills to communicate effectively and think critically. This role involves delivering engaging, curriculum-aligned lessons across all key stages, fostering a passion for English while helping students achieve their full potential. Key Responsibilities Plan and deliver high-quality English lessons aligned with the Curriculum for Wales, covering key stages 3 to 5. Inspire students to explore a range of literary texts, develop their writing skills, and refine their understanding of grammar and language. Monitor, assess, and report on student progress, providing tailored support to meet diverse learning needs. Actively contribute to the school community by organizing English-related events, such as writing workshops, reading clubs, and theatre trips. Create a positive and inclusive classroom environment that encourages academic achievement and personal growth. About You You will be a qualified teacher with a strong foundation in English and a comprehensive understanding of the Curriculum for Wales. You should possess excellent communication skills, a commitment to student development, and a passion for teaching English. Requirements Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent with a focus on English. Experience teaching English, preferably in a secondary school setting. In-depth knowledge of the Curriculum for Wales and effective assessment practices. Exceptional communication skills and the ability to engage and inspire students of all levels.
