The opportunity: We are looking for a Diploma qualified Paraplanner to join our team. Working as part of the Financial Planning Support Team, you will need to provide high quality and accurate support to Financial Planners. To provide technical and research support to the Advisers and assist the support team and compliance department where necessary. Assisting the Financial Advisers in establishing new client relationships and servicing existing relationships including meeting clients where appropriate. Preparing financial statements to support development of each client’s strategy. This may involve the use of Financial Planning software tools. Carrying out research and analysing products and services that are appropriate to each client’s circumstances. Proposing and drafting financial solutions that meet each client’s goals, needs and objectives. Ensure all recommendations meet with company standards and compliance. Collate research, illustrations and appropriate paperwork and assist with the accurate completion of application and proposal forms. Learn and maintain a detailed understanding of the firm’s centralised investment proposition and relevant internal procedures. Ensure client records are maintained and information is correctly recorded on the back office system. Developing productive working relationships with colleagues and clients throughout the financial services environment, both within and outside the firm. What are we looking for? CII Level 4 Diploma, or equivalent. Desire to reach Chartered status with our support. Several years experience of working within an Independent Financial Adviser practice. Strong organisational and planning skills. Strong analytical and numerical skills. Thrive working as part of a team but able and willing to work on own initiative, sometimes for long time periods. Strong IT skills, MS Office, MS Teams, Excel and Outlook. Experience of Intelligent Office preferable but not essential. Proficiency & experience with a variety of providers and investment products. Proficiency with cashflow planning software and research tools such as FE Analytics. What's in it for you?
