Then come and join our global team as Head of R&D for Magnetic Technology! Your tasks and responsibilities:

You lead the R&D magnet department within a global agile Magnetic Resonance Imaging product development process in the (pre-) development and design of superconducting magnets, from concepts to production transfer. You develop and implement the R&D strategic magnet roadmap in line with the overall MR business strategy. You ensure that all product development activities comply with regulatory requirements and industry standards. You cultivate and build a high-performing R&D team, attracting and retaining top talent in superconducting magnet technology. You foster a culture of collaboration with international cross-functional teams, including manufacturing, quality, regulatory, and procurement to ensure seamless product integration and market success. You encourage knowledge sharing and technical exchange within the R&D teams across the global organization. You collaborate with internal and external stakeholders, including suppliers and academic institutions to drive innovation and maintain Siemens Healthineers' leadership in the MR market. Your qualifications and experience:

You hold a PhD or Master's degree in Physics, Engineering, Materials Science, or a related field. You are ideally specialized in superconducting magnets or other related technologies. You have a minimum of 10 years of experience in R&D, with at least 5 years in a leadership role specializing in superconducting magnets or similar technologies. You possess a proven track record of managing the complete product lifecycle in a regulated industry, preferably in medical devices. You are familiar with product development methodologies and regulatory compliance. Your attributes and skills:

You have excellent communication skills and interpersonal abilities, capable of engaging with diverse stakeholders. You are a team player with experience collaborating in international, cross-functional environments. You are a strategic thinker with a passion for innovation and technology.
