The role

In this role, you'll define the technical vision and architecture for data engineering initiatives at ITV, leading the design and implementation of complex data solutions. You'll drive engineering best practices, mentor senior engineers, and align technical strategy with business goals. Additionally, you'll evaluate new technologies to address emerging challenges and may manage a team of data engineers.

(key criteria) A proven track record of leading large-scale initiatives Deep expertise in distributed systems, data architecture, and engineering best practices Experience successfully leading the architecture, build, and ownership of large-scale data pipeline ecosystems Strong track record of mentoring engineers and growing technical leaders Ability to communicate complex technical concepts to diverse audiences History of driving organisational change and technical innovation
