HSE Recruitment are working with a global engineering business to find a HSEQ Advisor at their production facility in Shoreham-By-Sea. This is an opportunity to work in an exciting up-and-coming sector and make your mark within the company.

The role is based at the Shoreham site, ideally 5 days a week. On-site presence is key for success as it focuses on building relationships. You will have full responsibility for HSEQ on site and will work closely with the Senior Leadership Team (SLT) to affect change. The site is a large, state-of-the-art facility with approximately 400 staff, involved in everything from design and development to testing and integration of their products.

There is a positive culture, but like every business, there are challenging areas. This site is receptive to change and wants to improve, so with the right person, they can make a significant impact. There has been a 50% increase in near-miss reporting, and Lost Time Injuries (LTIs) are down, indicating progress. Immediate tasks include reviewing fire risk assessments and contractor control.

Person Specification:

What's most important is finding someone with the following traits: switched on, self-motivated, driven, engaging, able to influence, good with people, strong communicator at all levels, hands-on, innovative, and eager to improve. The ability to translate technical knowledge into a language that people understand and can buy into is essential.

Minimum requirements include:

NEBOSH Certificate level as a minimum Background in manufacturing, engineering, or production is advantageous Internal auditor and fire safety experience is desirable

The role offers a salary of £35,000 to £45,000 depending on experience.
