An excellent opportunity has arisen for a dedicated Health and Safety Professional to deliver expert advice on all health and safety matters in the Energy & Natural Resources sector in Salford. The successful candidate will play a crucial role in maintaining the highest health and safety standards across the company.

Client Details Our client is a leading independent energy specialist, Ylem Energy, recruiting an experienced H&S professional to join its expanding team, based at its Salford headquarters. With over a quarter of a century's experience in specialist independent generation systems, Ylem Energy has developed an enviable array of systems and services that benefit its clients' energy requirements and help reduce the emission of harmful greenhouse gases.

Description Ensure legal compliance for health and safety in the workplace by conducting regular audits and inspections to make sure the highest standards are consistently maintained. Lead training with new and existing members of staff whilst identifying and assisting in any staff development opportunities. Promote our proactive "Zero Harm" culture across all departments. Ensure incident investigations are conducted promptly, including root cause analysis and corrective action is undertaken. Creation, implementation and review of Risk Assessments, safe working procedures and method statements. Delivery of the company Health and Safety strategy and initiation for the site. Review all existing company Health & Safety documentation and update accordingly in line with our statutory obligations including CDM Regulations. Ensure that all assessments as required by legislation are conducted and reviewed at relevant intervals. Visit each Project site to conduct regular health and safety inspections/audits and prepare detailed H&S audit reports. Review of all RAMS and COSHH assessments and update where necessary. Carry out investigations into all accidents.

Profile Demonstrable experience within a project development, construction and operational environment. Clear understanding and experience of design phase risk assessment and HAZOP. Experience of interacting with sub suppliers and contractors and ensuring their compliance with H&S requirements of Ylem Energy as Client, Main Contractor. NEBOSH Diploma or equivalent preferred. Strong communication skills. Demonstrable experience, skills and qualifications related to H&S requirements associated with an electrical high voltage environment.

Job Offer A salary of up to £65,000 DOE, plus car. A role based in the vibrant city of Salford, with travel around the UK. Home working/flexible environment.
