The Role: As a Lead Credit Risk Analyst, you will report to the Credit Risk Strategy Manager and be responsible for optimising lending decisions for our Vehicle Finance product. You will drive test and learn initiatives to identify champion strategies while ensuring lending decisions remain accurate through monitoring.
Responsibilities: Develop expert understanding
of the customer management lifecycle. Investigate and develop
new data sources for analysis and decisioning. Support business growth
and portfolio profitability while balancing risk and reward. Drive optimisation
of lending decisions through test and learn initiatives. Ensure accuracy
of lending decisions through close tracking and monitoring. Perform analysis
and provide recommendations for customer and business benefits. Deliver
complex analytical projects incorporating customer and business implications. Define project phases
and drive projects to implementation. Oversee and peer-review
team changes, mentor Analysts/Senior Analysts. Deputise
for manager as required.
What We're Looking For: We are seeking a candidate with strong experience in consumer credit, ideally focusing on
vehicle finance
or secured lending products. Candidates should meet the following criteria: A minimum of
5 years' experience
in an analytical role within consumer credit. Proficiency in
SAS, Python, or SQL
(Advanced level required). Extensive experience with
decisioning systems
and strategy optimisation. Strong background in
Credit Analytics . Experience in
scorecard cut-off setting
and
decline rule optimisation . The ability to leverage data for informed decision-making.
The interview process: Up to 30-minute telephone call with a member of the Talent Acquisition team. 30-minute virtual interview with the hiring manager. Final 1-hour virtual interview with the hiring team.
