GVR Solutions are currently in the market for a Commercial Director to join one of our well-established main contractors, based in East London / Essex. As a company, they are a £15M Turnover contractor who work all around London and the Home Counties in the commercial and aviation sectors providing fit out and refurbishment services. They are seeking a Commercial Director to oversee all matters Commercial, Contractual, and Financial.

Key Responsibilities for the Commercial Director:

Risk Management:

Generally across business operations. Estimating:

Including decisions regarding estimates to be undertaken and the forensic review of tender upon completion and converting same into relevant bid. Attending Post tender Interviews. Legal Processes:

Coordinate and manage legal processes where required, including debt recovery adjudications. Business Development:

Developing Leads and Managing CRM, attending Meet the Buyer events. Cost Value Recs and Work in Progress:

Manage Cost Value reconciliations and prepare quarterly Work in Progress schedules and finalize accounts with Chartered Accountants. Personnel:

Manage personnel, recruitment, appraisals, complete reviews, and annual increases. Industrial Relations. Subcontract Orders:

Oversee preparation and process of Subcontract Orders. Draft changes when required. Contractual Matters:

Review Contract Documents, oversee EOT and L&E calculations. Client Audits:

Represent Business at various Client Audits - Financial, Industrial Relations etc. Labour Agency:

Oversee annual rate reviews. Fleet:

Oversee commercial side of fleet management. HMRC:

Support Head of Accounts in dealings with Government Bodies. Bonds and Guarantees:

Manage process and risk involved in issue of Parent Company Guarantees, Performance Bonds and Warranties. Marketing:

Manage external Consultants in the preparation and issue of marketing information. Future Market Strategy:

Assess and advise on beneficial changes to market profile. Insurances:

Procure Insurances and manage cover within the business. Project Suitability:

Assess Client and Project suitability. Subcontract Payment Process:

Review, manage and Authorize. Cashflow Management:

Manage cashflow. Accounts Department:

Oversee and manage processes including authorizing HMRC submissions. Procore:

Support development of Digital Process software. Company Signatory:

All areas including Bank transactions and Contractual Documents. Medical Insurance:

Review and procure for Directors. Management Meetings:

Set agenda and Chair. Frameworks:

Negotiate Terms and provide lead. Shareholder Coordination:

Interim reporting. Client Entertainment:

Coordinate. Pension:

Oversee arrangements and acting trustee.
