Our fantastic client based in Leeds LS4 is looking for a talented General Manager with great leadership skills to develop their careers while inspiring our teams to continue our business success.

As General Manager, you will direct, lead, and effectively utilise all production resources to maximise the efficiency of the site, generating continuous improvement in cost and quality to deliver excellent customer service, whilst focusing on our people.

Permanent Role

Salary:

£38,000-£40,000 per annum

Holidays:

28 Days

Working Hours:

Monday to Friday 6.00am - 3.00pm

Key Responsibilities:

Production Management:

Oversee the entire production process to ensure efficiency and adherence to production schedules. Work alongside the supply chain team to optimise the plan to meet customer demand whilst optimising resource utilization. Monitor production metrics and KPIs across the balanced agenda to identify areas for improvement. Team Leadership:

Through the shift management team, ensure the facility is appropriately crewed through recruitment, training, and development. Provide ongoing coaching and development opportunities for your team. Ensure the wider production team have clear pathways for their development. Quality Assurance:

Responsible for ensuring all products meet quality and food safety standards. Support the transition from QC to QA. Work closely with the technical team to implement quality improvement projects, delivering continuous improvement at a product level. Continuous Improvement:

Identify and implement process improvements to increase efficiency, reduce waste, and lower costs. Ensure adherence to the production management system, and continuously develop this at a local level to deliver optimal value for the site. Safety and Compliance:

Ensure compliance with all health, safety, and environmental regulations. Promote a culture of safety within the facility, conducting regular safety training and drills. Investigate and address any safety incidents or near-misses promptly. Customer Focus:

Ensure customer satisfaction by delivering high-quality products on time. Collaborate with the sales and marketing teams to understand customer needs and market trends.
