Lead, develop and support the procurement team; Accountability for all supplier spend delivering market leading commercial terms and value for our clients; Lead on major food and beverage categories, developing strategic supply plans; Develop strong relationships with the supply base that support the delivery of strategic objectives and initiatives for our clients; Work with the client stakeholders (typically up to C-level) to ensure procurement requirements and objectives are met; Ensure strong communication both internally and externally with the client and suppliers. Essential experience and skills:
Experience in senior procurement or category management roles within the food industry; Previous experience of excellent stakeholder management at a senior level up to CEO; Demonstrates a good understanding of complex supply chain models ideally within the foodservice industry; Experience of managing a procurement team; Strong negotiator and the ability to communicate at all levels; Excellent level of IT competence including Microsoft Windows Software such as Excel; High level of numeracy and an analytical approach; Strong financial and commercial acumen with a high level of attention to detail; Ability to influence; Be a team player; Able to work under pressure to meet tight deadlines; Ability to organise and prioritise workload; Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
