Reporting to the Director and in collaboration with department heads, you will develop and lead the organisation's first ESG strategy and act as the primary point of contact for ESG-related initiatives and inquiries. Conducting assessments and mapping existing ESG/sustainability reporting frameworks (e.g., GRI, CDP, UN Global Compact). Collaborate with internal teams to gather, analyse, and securely manage data. Conduct research on sustainability trends and industry-specific options for carbon offsetting and impact mitigation. Deliver training and internal communications to foster engagement. Review sustainability reports of other organisations for best practices. Stay updated on global ESG regulations and industry-specific legislation. To be considered for the role you will have:
A Degree in ESG, sustainability, or in a related field. Proven experience in ESG/sustainability, preferably in corporate but would consider academic work. Previous experience in a similar commercial role. Expertise in ESG reporting frameworks and regulations. Strong analytical and data-handling skills (advanced Excel proficiency). Exceptional communication, presentation, and relationship-building abilities. Proactive, organized, and self-motivated with a knack for generating innovative ideas. The role is offered with a salary of between £35,000 and £37,000 (dependant on experience) and also offers a fantastic benefits package including allowances, health benefits, and flexible working options.
