FTC until 31st July 2026 The Data Migration Specialist is a key role in the PDS Data and Analytics Services team who has responsibility for providing Data Migration Strategy, Data Management and Design services to support successful and timely delivery of Data Migration projects and programmes. This role will report into the Data by Design Lead. Key Responsibilities Undertake data discovery, profiling and data analysis Develop Data Migration Strategies for Projects/Programmes Align Data Migration approach to ?data industry' best practice Design and implement data migration processes, scoping, planning, execution and post migration support Collaborate, communicate effectively and positively motivate internal and external stakeholders, suppliers, consultants and specialists for successful delivery of data migration projects Define data migration roles, responsibilities and accountabilities Establish data migration governance and performance metrics Manage data migration projects end to end, maintaining accurate project plans, schedules, and budgets to ensure smooth migration Identify and manage risk and issues, implementing mitigations to minimise impact on objectives and timelines Monitor and report on the progress of data migration activities and manage performance Provide advice and consultation for post migration activities and handover to BAU
What you need to succeed in the role Proven experience in Data Migration Strategy development and implementation Proven experience in successful Data Migration delivery and project management Proven knowledge and skills in data migration ?data industry' best practice Strong knowledge and understanding of Data Governance, Data Management, Data Quality, Data Standards, Data Risk & Control, Data Profiling Tools, Data Analysis, Data Cleansing, and Data Transformation. Previous experience in developing and implementing data migration strategies, frameworks & processes Proficiency in project management methodologies Understanding of the technology industry offering in the data space. Knowledge of data performance, risk and issue reporting and escalation; experience in developing key performance indicators (KPIs) and their purpose in a data context. Excellent communication skills, written and verbal, as well as presentation and negotiation skills. Ability to speak in plain English and to effectively engage with the senior stakeholders with varying data skills. Stakeholder engagement and relationship management, problem solving and building trust are all essential requirements for this role.
