Job Description Working within the core operational function, you will be a vital part of the Settlements team from the outset.
Key Responsibilities, Settlements Analyst
Assisting in various reconciliations, including daily bank account reconciliation and month end reconciliation. Communicating reconciliation updates to internal key stakeholders. Working with the team to process, review and authorise outgoing payments and allocate incoming payments accurately, in a timely manner, to ensure delivery of seamless client service. Active daily treasury management, moving funds between accounts to ensure cover of any overdrawn positions and minimise FX exposure. Developing relationships with our external counterparties and liaising with them to solve queries in a timely manner, with client centricity in mind. Liaising with internal departments to resolve queries. Identifying system and process improvements and raising these for consideration, collaboratively working with stakeholders to help deliver improvements. Have knowledge of and contribute to completing Safeguarding reconciliation procedures. Expectation that you will be able to take on ad-hoc tasks outside of daily responsibilities and complete to a high standard. Uphold the team's risk management culture, ensuring existing procedures are fit for purpose, documented and applied effectively. Experience in financial services with a Payments or Cash Management background. You must be a quick learner with a strong ability to problem solve and adapt to various forms of processing and multi-tasking. You must be innovative and open to raising queries or incidents in an appropriate manner. You must be diligent, proactive and committed to performing in a high-pressure and fast-paced environment. You must be methodical, with strong attention to detail. Demonstrate numeracy with IT skills, knowledge of MS Word, Excel and Outlook. You must have excellent communication skills with the ability to both support and influence internal and external stakeholders. You must have good interpersonal skills and be a team player.
