03/01/2025 As the Engineering Project Manager, you will be pivotal in leading the design and construction of vital wastewater process and sewer monitoring projects, managing intricacies from £100,000 to £5 million. You will take charge of projects from inception to successful handover, delivering robust and safe solutions that make a real difference. Working under the guidance of the Senior Delivery Manager, you will be an essential part of the in-house Capital Delivery Direct team at Thames Water, driving efficiency to meet and exceed AMP8 goals. Join us in shaping the future of water management for our communities! What you’ll be doing as an Engineering Project Manager

Acting as the Project lead from conception to handover of planned projects or urgent/emergency works. Developing robust and safe concepts and solutions is a key requirement for this position. Take the lead in planning and delivering design & build activities, including commissioning. Accountable for developing the projects and documentation for submission through the Governance process to achieve the correct funding to deliver the project as required by the internal stakeholders/client. Act as the key contact to support the CDM Designer or Principal Designer role, particularly for projects where the in-house engineers undertake the design. Provide Project Assurance during the delivery, commissioning and handover of assets. Role Location:

This role will be based on a hybrid basis at either Reading/ Swindon/Witney Sewage Treatment Works. Depending on business needs, you must work on-site and in the office 3-4 days a week. Driver Requirement:

Must be a driver and have access to own transport; this role comes with a car allowance of £4,500. What you should bring to the role

Degree level or equivalent in an engineering discipline. Process and a good working knowledge of end-to-end project delivery processes are ideal- preferably in wastewater networks but open to similar industries. Knowledge of process design, technical, commissioning and construction assurance, including integration of automation systems. A focus on supporting and implementing continuous improvement. Experience in managing project teams and accountability for project delivery. Fully competent at using the appropriate company IT systems and Office software. What’s in it for you?

This role comes with a competitive salary between £55,000 – £60,000 per annum depending on skills and experience. Annual Leave - 26 days holiday per year, increasing to 30 with the length of service.
