What will I be doing day-to-day? As the Finance Manager, you will manage accounting operations, analyse financial data, and provide strategic insights to support business decisions and ensure compliance responsibilities are met. You will also lead a team responsible for financial accounting, accounts payable/receivable, payroll, and other finance-related functions. In a bit more detail you will: Contribute to the achievement of the company's business objectives by providing strategic advice and guidance. Closely work alongside the Managing Director and Senior Leadership Team to: Prepare detailed quarterly forecasts with accompanying analysis. Partner with managers on their function's financials and propose steps to ensure business goals are met. Provide detailed financial analysis to offer useful insight to inform key business decisions. Provide variance analysis on monthly and quarterly results. Embed financial understanding at all levels across the business. Complete month/quarter/year-end closure activities to ensure accurate and timely reporting. Manage the accounting, fiduciary and statutory compliance reporting to ensure requirements are met. Manage risk for the function including ensuring compliance & regulatory requirements are met, and compliance with all Volaris and VBU policies and procedures. Develop repeatable, efficient, and effective processes, workflows, playbooks and best practices for the finance function. Manage key finance projects and engagements within the company to achieve on-time/on-budget/on-spec project completion to the business. Work collaboratively with sister companies and other stakeholders to share best practices and improvements. Lead a team of 2 direct reports, encouraging them to thrive within their respective roles. Who will I report to? You will report to our Managing Director, forming part of the Senior Leadership Team. What do I need to be eligible to apply? We are looking for someone who loves numbers and ensuring financial processes and compliance is met. Along with this, you are someone who loves to dig deep and understand how our financials translate into actions we can take in the business to meet our objectives. Along with this, we'd also love if you have: Degree in Accountancy or equivalent and at least 6 years of accounting/finance work experience, including completion of a relevant professional qualification (CA, CIMA, ACCA). Experience working for an organisation delivering business to business services. Strong knowledge of IFRS accounting. Experience in relaying financial information to non-finance managers and employees. Proficiency in financial management software (e.g., SAP, Oracle, QuickBooks) and advanced skills in Excel for financial analysis. Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to interpret complex financial data. Experience in budgeting, forecasting, and strategic financial planning. Strong leadership and communication skills for managing teams and collaborating with cross-functional departments. An organised, disciplined approach to work with excellent time management skills and the ability to deal with multiple activities in parallel. It's not a deal breaker but we would really like it if you also had: Big 6 audit experience. Previous experience within software industry.
