We are delighted to invite applications to the Specialist Clinical Pharmacist in Hepatology post. The post offers an excellent opportunity to develop your portfolio of specialist knowledge and skills for the management of patients as part of a multidisciplinary team in collaboration with colleagues across the East Midlands region. Main Duties of the Job

You will be responsible for working directly with clinicians, nurse specialists, finance teams, and many others to deliver safe and effective treatment to patients within Hepatology at NUH. This role provides an excellent opportunity for an experienced, motivated clinical pharmacist to take on responsibility for an exciting, high-profile clinical specialty which is high on the national agenda. As a senior member of the pharmacist team, there will be the opportunity to help support and mentor the junior members of the team. You will be supported by the Advanced Pharmacy Practitioner in Hepatology as well as being able to call upon the support of the large pharmacy department at NUH. The post will have involvement with Hepatology transplant clinics, homecare provision of medications, and the HCV MDT. About Us

The post will be predominantly based at the Queens Medical Centre, but there will be an expectation to travel to the Nottingham City Hospital campus and potentially to other trusts in the region. You will be required to participate in a rostered flexible shift working system including weekend and bank holiday arrangements over a 7-day period and support the on-call pharmacists through the senior pharmacist back-up rota. Qualifications

Clinical Diploma or equivalent qualification Experience

Experience of clinical pharmacy service delivery Experience of working in multidisciplinary teams Wide previous experience (post-registration) including in hospital pharmacy Experience of working with surgical specialties Experience of working within hepatology Communication

Strong, accurate, and concise written and oral communication skills, including presentation skills Effective independent and team working skills, including the ability to interact with multidisciplinary teams. Organisation

Excellent organisational skills Analytical and Judgement Skills

Able to assess and minimise risk in medication processes Disclosure and Barring Service Check
