Head of Risk
to join the newly established Corporate Delivery team. You will be a senior leader and hold strategic responsibility for the implementation of improvement strategies in the areas of risk management and assurance. The post holder will have corporate responsibility for the development, implementation and monitoring of the Trust Risk Management Strategy and policy framework and ensure these are in line with best practice. The post holder will lead in creating a risk aware culture and environment, in which risk management is embedded at all levels in the organisation, to ensure the delivery of high quality, safe, patient-centred services.
Main duties of the job
Develop key relationships with system partners and be the strategic lead for all the Trust's risk management arrangements. Work collaboratively with external bodies as required to strengthen internal risk management capabilities. Embed more effective system level risk management. Risk management strategy, policy, process and culture. Risk management advice and support. Analysis of reporting on risk. Trust Board Assurance Framework. Risk management training and development. Leading the Trust Risk Management team.

Master qualification or demonstrable equivalent experience working at a senior level in specialist area. Evidence of active continued professional development to support the delivery of a senior leadership role including experience in risk management and governance systems.

Extensive knowledge of governance and risk frameworks, particularly but not exclusively within the NHS.
