What you'll do: As a Tax Assistant Manager, your role will be pivotal in managing a diverse portfolio of high-net-worth clients. You will be responsible for providing comprehensive personal tax advice across various areas such as inheritance tax, capital gains tax, income tax, and international tax matters. Your ability to project manage tax advisory assignments while ensuring all deadlines, risk management and compliance procedures are met will be crucial. Additionally, you will oversee the performance and career development of partly and newly qualified staff.
Ensure the delivery of high-quality personal tax service to clients
Manage a diverse portfolio of complex clients
Provide personal tax advice on a wide range of assignments including inheritance tax, capital gains tax, income tax, and international tax matters
Project manage tax advisory assignments ensuring deadlines, risk management and compliance procedures are met
Manage work in progress and ensure prompt billing and cash collection
Oversee the performance and career development of partly and newly qualified staff
What you bring:
The ideal candidate for this Tax Assistant Manager position is a qualified accountant or tax advisor with experience working in a personal-tax-focused environment. You have consistently demonstrated academic excellence throughout your career and possess an insightful understanding of the issues facing private clients. Your ability to work both independently and as part of a team will be essential in this role. A commitment to clients, colleagues, and the organisation is expected along with high-level analytical skills and a commercial approach to resolving issues and providing advice. Strong interpersonal skills along with robust oral and written communication skills are also required.
Qualified accountant or tax advisor with experience working in a personal tax-focused environment
