We are seeking a talented individual to join our Database Administration team at Marsh McLennan as a MongoDB Database Manager .

This role will be based inLiverpoo l or in our Bristol, Chichester, Leeds or Manchester offices. This is a hybrid role that has a requirement of working at least three days a week in the office. This is unique opportunity for an individual contributor to lead a team across Canada, Columbia, India & the US. Your experience in and understanding of MongoDB will allow Marsh McLennan to make more meaningful decisions, through design, delivery and support. Working in partnership with your Indian counterpart, you will join our wider team who together, across Australia, Canada, UK & the US, are responsible for Mongo databases & projects related to our Oracle environment, for the Global Marsh McLennan business. We will count on you to: Manage priorities and assign work to team members Work closely with offshore colleagues to ensure smooth transition of work handover To guide team on resolving configuration/performance issues. Support MySQL and PostgreSQL in addition to MongoDB DR Failover and Switchover knowledge. Hands on experience on upgrade of Mongo Databases to higher versions What you need to have:? Working experience with MongoDB technology including Mongo Atlas & MongoDB Licensing. Experience of managing or leading a team Hands on experience with MongoDB Installation and ability to configure Docker MongoDB Images on Linux Box. Planning and executing on strategic database activities including resolution capabilities of more complex issues: Knowledge of Audit, Security and Encryption at rest What will make you stand out: Disaster Recovery and Business continuity tooling and processes knowledge Strong analytical and problem-solving skills PostgreSQL experience will be good to have along with other database technologies.
