To initiate and monitor the pharmacological treatment with ADHD medication (as non-medical independent prescriber).
To provide information, education and support for service users and their carers regarding coping with diagnosis and treatments.
To provide clinical leadership to the Adult ADHD team in the care, treatment, and therapy of the client group, with a clear focus on clinical risk and its management.
To perform regular caseload and waiting list reviews on RiO and provide operational management for the admin team.
To interpret national guidelines and relevant research to inform local practice and procedures to achieve best practice. To maintain own expert status by developing training and improvement projects underpinned by research and legislation. To take part in and facilitate audits relevant to patient care.
Triaging of referrals Perform comprehensive assessments of adults with previously diagnosed and suspected ADHD Identify and manage risk, comorbid conditions and to signpost appropriately Formulate treatment plans. Initiate, titrate and monitor effects of ADHD medication including physical effects. Provide psycho-education about ADHD in adults and co-morbid conditions Liaise with GPs, NHS and non-NHS services. The partnership between Barnet, Enfield and Haringey Mental Health NHS Trust (BEH) and Camden and Islington NHS Foundation Trust (C&I) is going from strength to strength since it was originally established in 2021 forming the North London Mental Health Partnership.
In order to meet the needs of the new Partnership services, you may be required from time to time to work at different locations to your normal place of work. This may mean that you are required to work at any location that falls under Barnet, Enfield and Haringey Trust and Camden and Islington Trust. The Trust reserves the right to require staff to work at such other places or locations as it considers reasonable and necessary on a temporary or permanent basis.
