The Head of Community plays a critical leadership role within Australian Taekwondo (AT), leading areas spanning membership, governance, participation, and events. The Head of Community will strive for exceptional customer service to be provided to all members of AT to ensure a high degree of satisfaction for Member States, individuals, Club owners, and master instructors. The Head of Community reports directly to the CEO and will have 3 positions reporting to them. Key Responsibilities include: Membership Lead the development of the annual membership package and oversee the renewal process. Expand and effectively communicate AT's Membership value proposition. Oversee the national membership database (RevSport). Drive Club Membership through engagement of prospective clubs. Proactive engagement of Club owners to ensure customer satisfaction. Events Lead the annual event calendar planning with Member States and key stakeholders. Manage all event administration and planning in collaboration with the associated Event Manager, host Member State/Club, and Organising Committees. Develop national frameworks and policies regarding events. Lead delivery of AT's obligations associated with commercial event funding agreements. In collaboration with the relevant Committee, organise referee appointments. Commercial Foster positive relationships with commercial partners and ensure AT's obligations are met to provide return on investment. Identify new opportunities to drive member engagement and commercial value. Write grant applications and prepare funding proposals for submission to government and private entities. Education Develop and execute an education strategy to provide ongoing learning opportunities for the taekwondo community. Engage relevant expertise to develop the suite of content available via AT's Learning Management System (LMS). Governance Provide support to Committees to ensure all members are engaged and effective operational processes are in place. Work closely with Member States to identify and address opportunities to improve capability and capacity. Contribute to the development and oversee the delivery of AT's PlayWell Strategy. Develop initiatives to attract new participants to taekwondo in all aspects of the sport including coaching, officiating, volunteering, Kyorugi, and Poomsae. The location for the successful candidate can be flexible upon negotiation; however, ACT-based is preferred.
