Anderson Knight is delighted to be partnering with one of Scotland’s largest construction companies, who provide a range of repairs and maintenance, construction, manufacturing, and refurbishment activities across the public, private, and third sectors. An exciting opportunity has arisen for an experienced and talented Senior Environmental Officer. As their Environmental Champion, you will assist operational managers in communicating and ensuring compliance with all relevant environmental legislation, policies, and procedures. You will manage and develop the team of Environmental Officers to enhance the environmental performance of the organisation. Working in a fast-paced and changing organisation, you will be responsible for promoting and delivering a comprehensive and professional environmental management service. Responsibilities:

You will be the lead officer in the continuing accreditation of ISO14001 standards and in the bi-annual external audits of the Environmental Management System. This will involve liaising with City Building managers and operatives and coordinating responses to the external auditors. You will be responsible for managing the programme of environmental audits and inspections of premises, construction sites, work activities, and waste areas. Responsible for managing the collating and checking of waste data and energy consumption data using Excel and other software programs, providing and presenting information to the Executive Team and Board as required. Update environmental legislation information and the environmental aspects of the organisation’s activities. You will be required to develop and implement strategies relating to environmental issues and provide a professional environmental advice service to the business and their partners. You will be an experienced environmental professional with a relevant environmental diploma/degree qualification. You will demonstrate experience of environmental issues in the construction industry and possess excellent interpersonal and communication skills. Job Types:
