We are seeking a visionary leader to take on the role of Director of Education Futures for the International Education division at Cambridge University Press & Assessment. In this transformative position, you will craft and execute a groundbreaking Education Futures strategy that aligns with the mission of International Education. About the role As the Director of Education Futures, you will be responsible for establishing and executing a cohesive strategy that aligns with the mission and objectives of International Education. Your role will involve representing International Education at global forums, advocating for best practices and innovative educational solutions. In addition, you will be tasked with identifying, evaluating, and communicating emerging trends, challenges, and opportunities in global education to inform internal decision-making. Rigorous research and data analysis programmes will be under your oversight, supporting strategic decisions and providing evidence for impactful initiatives. Developing and implementing frameworks to measure the impact of educational programmes will also be a key part of your responsibilities. You will communicate these results to stakeholders, ensuring transparency and accountability. Cultivating relationships with key stakeholders and strategic partnerships, both across Cambridge and beyond, is crucial to support the delivery of a high-quality Education Futures strategy. You will also establish data-driven practices in product and service development, embedding strategic analytics and AI capabilities across operations. As a leader, you will foster a culture of innovation, collaboration, and excellence within your team, supporting their professional development. Efficient resource management and overseeing the budget will ensure that resources are allocated effectively to maximise impact and pursue funding opportunities. About you We are looking for a visionary and strategic thinker with a passion for educational equity. The ideal candidate will have: Master's degree in Education or equivalent experience in International Development, or a related field; a Ph.D. is preferred. Extensive and demonstrable experience in educational leadership, program management, or a similar role within an international context. Proven track record of leading and scaling educational programs that have demonstrated impact. Deep understanding of global education issues, trends, and best practices. Strong analytical skills with the ability to use data to drive decision-making and demonstrate impact. Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate, influence, and engage a wide range of stakeholders. Advanced information literacy and experience with strategic budget management. Experience in diverse cultural and geographical contexts. Fluency in English is required; additional languages are a plus.
