Provide one-on-one and small group support to pupils aged 2-18. Assist and mentor students to enhance their engagement in learning and promote personal growth. Offer nurturing support during break and lunch times. Encourage independence and celebrate students’ achievements. Manage challenging situations and maintain a calm environment. Ensure consistency and structure in students’ daily routines. Skills and Attributes:
A valid Team Teach certificate is preferred, though training can be provided. Ability to connect effectively with children and young people with additional needs is essential. Experience in SEN is advantageous, but the right character fit is most important. Resilience, the ability to remain composed under pressure, and skills in de-escalating challenging situations. Calmness under pressure. Confidence, enthusiasm, and a strong drive. Alertness in recognizing safeguarding concerns and adherence to established protocols.
