Finance Manager #915 c. £60,000 Hybrid, London UK Permanent Our partner is a young, but leading and growing international organisation. They are seeking an experienced senior accountant to lead on financial management, analysis and reporting within the organisation and to act as the interface between the finance and programmes/fundraising team. Responsibilities Lead in the preparation of the annual organisational budget and commentary, and in the bi-annual forecasting process. Lead in the preparation of monthly management accounts, including variance analysis and commentary, acting as a business partner to the programmes team to discuss variances, coaching them as required. Review budgets for donor proposals, including allocation of restricted costs. Develop tools and templates to properly monitor spend against donor budgets, and review donor reports before submission. Ensure the organisational and donor compliance requirements are properly understood and embedded with the finance, programmes and fundraising team; and review and develop processes/systems as required. Work to ensure that implementing partners understand their obligations around grants compliance/reporting. Lead on the preparation of grant audits. Requirements Qualified accountant, with experience in leading the budgeting & forecasting process of an international charity, and in producing analysis, reports and management information. Demonstrable knowledge of full financial and grants cycle management & donor compliance within an international charity. Knowledge of institutional grants, including DfID, EU, US government grants. Developed business partnering, communication and report-writing skills. Experience of working within a complex, international organisation with multiple entities and working with multiple currencies. Strong IT skills, including advanced MSExcel skills This is a permanent role. The successful individual will be expected to be in the London office 2 days/week.
