The post holder will be part of the Community Child Health team taking consultant responsibility for children with Neurodisability across Cornwall. In addition, there is the opportunity to further develop our service. Once the post holder is appointed, there will be an opportunity to revise job planning as part of ongoing service reorganisation. The post includes a commitment to the Child Protection Day and On-call rota (extended hours commitment 0700-1900). There is no commitment to the acute on-call rota. Applicants are required to be on the GMC Specialist Register, or within six months of their expected date of receipt of a CCT/EU equivalent certification at the time of interview. About us

Qualifications
Full GMC registration, Entry on the GMC Specialist Register via CCT (Proposed CCT date must be within 6 months of interview) CESR or European Community Rights An appropriate higher paediatric qualification Completed GRID training in Community Paediatrics and appropriate CCT Epilepsy PET training 1, 2 and 3 Experience
Teaching - Medical students, junior doctors, peers and MDT Experienced in Clinical Audit and Clinical Governance and able to demonstrate this is embedded in clinical practice Practical and intellectual Skills
Strong Clinical and personal credibility with significant clinical experience/training in community Paediatrics Experience and recognised training in Safeguarding. Experience in assessing, formulating opinions and report writing to support child protection and working with wider safeguarding teams Excellent communication and interpersonal skills Conceptual and analytical Skills Speaks fluent English to at least I.E.L.R.S level 7.5 Knowledge and experience of social paediatrics Specific experience or national accreditation in Neurodisability and Epilepsy Experience or nationally recognised training in Court work Ability and experience in chairing multi-agency meetings Disclosure and Barring Service Check
