Your new company, Global, a business based here in Bristol, is looking to recruit a Global Finance Manager to join the business on a permanent basis.
Your new role: Forming part of the Global accounting team, this role and the wider team are key in managing the day-to-day running of the finance function whilst ensuring the overseas SSC is performing as required by the company. You will ensure the month-end close processes are run in an effective manner, working to SLAs as set out by the group. In addition, you and the team will be responsible for managing the efficient output of the offshore finance team.
Key responsibilities include:
Review month-end and period-end closing as prepared by the outsourced function. Approve journal entries. Review internal controls and support compliance with accounting standards. Support the Financial Controls team during external audits. Work with the offshore accounting lead, training and upskilling where required. Act as a point of contact & escalation to support requests. Manage and drive continuous improvement opportunities. Manage, motivate, and develop a small team of accountants. What you'll need to succeed:
We are looking for a qualified accountant that has experience managing a team in a global, complex business. Ideally, that experience will include an SSC. You will need to be agile, able to develop good relationships with a variety of different stakeholders, and be technically strong.
