My client has experienced significant growth within the Transmission & Distribution sector over the past decade, securing numerous major projects across the UK. As the demand for exceptional engineering design continues to rise, an exciting opportunity has emerged for a Senior Substation Primary Design Engineer. Responsibilities:
Reporting to the Discipline Lead - HV, you will ensure the quality and consistency of our team's output in producing and controlling drawings and technical documents. Your role includes managing project deliverables through a rigorous checking process, supporting CAD technicians in drawing development, and contributing to bid processes to secure future projects. Requirements:
Demonstrable design experience on transmission networks Enthusiastic team player with the ability to work independently Experience in HV Substation design Previous involvement with National Grid or Scottish & Southern Electricity projects Proficiency in Dynamic force calculations (rigid and flexible busbar calculations) Skilled in developing single line diagrams, plans, elevations, and equipment specifications for substations Familiarity with fulfilling CDM obligations (regulations, risk assessments, etc.) Why Join Us?
