Job Title: Senior Structural Engineer Location: Lichfield Salary: £40,000 - £60,000 (Dependent on experience)
A unique and exciting opportunity is available for a skilled and experienced Senior Structural Engineer with my Client, a small, independent Civil and Structural Engineering Consultancy. They require a Senior Structural Engineer who is seeking a role that offers a certain level of autonomy on projects, the ability to manage your own design schemes from inception to completion, and a role which offers you a good scope of projects to take responsibility for. As a Senior Structural Engineer, you will be actively encouraged to take on interesting projects from start to completion. My Client is in a strong position to offer the right person a generous pay package along with career development and advancement opportunities, hopefully leading to director level. You can typically expect to be directly involved in small to medium-sized projects up to £25M in value, and due to the size of their business, will ideally have previously worked in a similar position in the UK. Job Responsibilities Ability to manage your own projects, from conception to completion Produce calculations for all structural materials: steel, concrete, masonry, and timber Prepare drawings using AutoCAD Carry out site visits and attend meetings Select appropriate construction materials Provide technical advice to clients and colleagues Liaise with relevant professions as part of the design team Monitor and inspect work undertaken by contractors Prepare condition reports of existing structures Job Skills & Qualifications Bachelor's Degree in Civil or Structural Engineering, plus solid experience working as a Structural Engineer in the UK MIStructE or MICE or working towards Experience with design software such as Tekla TEDDS, Tekla Building Designer, Fastrak Portal, or similar Experience designing steelwork and reinforced concrete Decisive with excellent critical thinking skills Good written and verbal communication abilities, including preparing reports Ability to work independently to deliver a project from start to completion Package on Offer Competitive salary plus bonuses dependent on experience Company pension scheme Payment of fees to IStructE or ICE where applicable Career progression opportunities to Director level Scope for 1 day a week hybrid working Onsite parking If you are at Senior level or seeking an opportunity to move into a Senior role with further scope for progression and career development, then please send your CV to Simone Bacciocchi at CRS Professionals.
