An exciting opportunity has arisen to support our fundraising department in maximizing income and delivering all aspects of the community fundraising programme. The successful Community Fundraiser will work as part of the Community Fundraising team while supporting the wider team with general enquiries for all fundraising activities. They will deputise for the Community Fundraising Lead in their absence and line manage the Community Fundraising Assistant. Key Tasks: Support the development of community fundraising programme to maximise income and align with fundraising strategy through research, effective and constructive feedback, and preparing reports. Support the Community Fundraising Lead to prepare data for feasibility reports, plans for each event and post-activity evaluation. Support the Community Fundraising Assistant to facilitate preparation and delivery of marketing plans, and design assets, dealing with third parties to agreed deadlines and budgets following Mountbatten purchasing procedures e.g. advertising channels, photographers, internal stakeholders. Shape digital marketing plans to maximise income and engagement and to work with the Community Fundraising Assistant to deliver these plans. Support all aspects of the planning and coordination of community fundraising alongside other team members i.e. sourcing and managing venues, technical equipment, third party suppliers, catering, First Aid, etc. Person Specification

To be professional and credible when representing the hospice. Commitment to continued professional development & training. Willing to work as and when the job requires to achieve the Hospice goals. Qualifications

Good standard of general education to GCSE level (or equivalent). A level qualification or equivalent. Experience

IT proficiency with presentation software, word processing, spreadsheets and database knowledge. Familiarity with the internet and its research capability. Experience of recruiting, working with and managing volunteers or staff. Public facing customer service support. Abilities

Manage staff and volunteers. Manage delivery of contractual agreements for products/services from third parties. Disclosure and Barring Service Check
