About the Role:

In this permanent, full-time position, you’ll work closely with the Accountable Manager to develop and oversee a comprehensive Safety Management System (SMS) across the AOC, Part CAMO, and Part 145 Organisations. You’ll ensure regulatory compliance, promote best practices, and drive a safety-first culture within the organisation.

Key Responsibilities: Lead hazard identification, risk analysis, and management initiatives. Monitor safety action plans to ensure risks are effectively mitigated. Provide regular safety performance reports to the safety review board. Manage safety documentation and ensure safety training meets required standards. Advise on safety matters and oversee accident/investigation processes. Manage the Flight Data Monitoring (FDM) programme and address any identified issues. Promote a ‘just culture’ and safety awareness across the business. Ensure communication of Mandatory Occurrence Reports (MORs) to relevant authorities. Lead and participate in Safety Action Groups (SAGs) to enhance safety objectives.

You’ll need: A minimum of 5 years’ relevant experience, with at least 2 years in the aviation sector. Strong knowledge of ICAO standards and UK/European safety regulations. Expertise in safety investigation, risk management, and human factors. Experience in managing compliance monitoring systems and promoting a positive safety culture. Excellent communication, leadership, and analytical skills.
