About this opportunity We have an exciting opportunity at Cumberland Council to work in our dynamic Finance Department. You will provide support across a range of financial activities including: revenue and capital budget monitoring, the co-ordination and preparation of budgets; monthly reconciliations; assisting with the preparation of the Statement of Accounts; preparation of financial returns and administration duties surrounding the Council’s insurance cover. Roles are required across a range of services, from our corporate accounting team through to business partnering in support of the Council’s key services, and in our Schools Finance department. Who we’re looking for Fully qualified member of the Association of Accounting Technicians (or equivalent qualification) or at least 3 years accountancy experience Attention to detail Good communications skills A positive ‘can do’ attitude Someone who is driven, who would like to grow and develop with the business to build a long-term career.
