Based in Hemel Hempstead, our client is looking for a Senior Commercial Credit Controller on a permanent basis, with fantastic hybrid options of 1 day a week in the office.
This job would suit someone with a well-developed business sense combined with excellent commercial acumen, to be responsible for managing a range of large customer accounts and key relationships to pursue and proactively manage outstanding debt, ensuring disputes are resolved and bad debt minimised.

The successful individual will have excellent organisational skills with the ability to prioritise tasks and work to deadlines within a busy, fast-paced environment. Excellent communication skills are essential to be able to confidently negotiate, whilst also demonstrating excellent diplomacy and dispute resolution skills. You must be able to demonstrate strong working relationships with all key commercial contacts, achieving positive negotiation outcomes even under challenges.
Key Responsibilities:
Validate customer information, conduct due diligence, and confirm payment terms and onboarding requirements. Build strong relationships and set clear expectations. Support customer meetings, strengthen relationships, and manage account portfolios. Conduct credit checks, manage credit limits, and address credit risks. Ensure timely payments, resolve disputes, and manage payment plans. Maintain records for performance tracking and reporting. Monitor payment patterns, escalate issues, and ensure compliance with policies and contracts. Collaborate with Sales and key stakeholders to support effective account management.
