January 2025 This is an exciting opportunity to join the HR team as a HR Advisor that provides a range of services to NY Highways. North Yorkshire Council provides a range of SLA’s to NY Highways. NY Highways operates as a commercial business to provide highways services and maintenance to both the public and private sectors across the region by combining a commercial focus with public sector values. This role is ideal for an individual who enjoys a varied role, working as part of a small yet busy HR team. We are looking for someone who will focus on providing an advisory service to NY Highways colleagues on a range of employment matters, including the application of Employment policies and procedures. Key responsibilities include: Producing monthly and quarterly workforce data reports. Supporting a rolling communications programme to promote HR activities. Managing and advising on a wide range of HR related issues with minimal supervision. Supporting workforce change and/or projects. Due to the nature of the role, you will need to work in a pressurised environment with minimum supervision, using your own initiative to manage a busy workload with competing priorities. You will need excellent IT skills and be able to use and manipulate data from a range of Microsoft Office packages and HR systems, especially MS Office, ResourceLink, SharePoint, and data systems such as PowerBi. This role will be predominantly office based at the Finkills Way Office in Northallerton, with regular travel across the county required to deliver the service to the operational areas of NY Highways.
