Software Engineering Manager *North Bristol based Tech company w/ big growth plans!* Hybrid (3 days in the office, 2 remote) £70,000 + Bonus + Private Healthcare + Pension + 34 days hol (incl bank hols) + EV Scheme + lots more! SR2 are excited to be supporting one of our clients based in North Somerset, who are hiring for a new Software Engineering Manager to join and lead a team of 6 software engineers, working on highly complex and interesting technical challenges. *Privately-owned software engineering business, small sized business (70+ people) with large growth plans over the next 2 years.* You will be overseeing the team, setting the technical direction, mentoring, and performing general line management responsibilities such as 1-2-1s and annual appraisals. We're looking for someone with a strong technical background; however, this role is hands-off with code but you will still be involved with architectural design decisions. As the Software Engineering Manager, you'll be developing and helping your team of engineers grow professionally while driving the performance of the team forward and helping to develop their skills and talents. Experience Needed: Strong background in Software development (Java, Rest APIs, Azure or AWS) Experience in team leadership/management and software development Experienced with 1-2-1s, annual appraisals, performance reviews, and mentoring/guiding team members Technical strategy setting Experience working as part of a multi-disciplinary engineering team Understanding of relevant software design, coding, and quality standards Teamwork mindset, with a "one team" ethic within your team Experience working within an Agile environment Please apply with your CV, and I will be in touch early January when we will be going through applications and organizing 1st stage interviews.
