Main duties of the job
Supporting patients with confirmed Bladder, Renal and Testicular Cancers Acts as a source of support and information for patients with confirmed cancer Refer for testing where appropriate as part of surveillance protocols Refer for Senior review where straight to test is not appropriate or there is a change in their condition Share test results with patients and explain the next steps of investigation or treatment Undertakes research activities and leads clinical audits in own specialist area Communicates with a range of other staff of all disciplines, acting as a highly specialist resource including liaison with health care providers both within and outside of the Trust regarding diagnosis and treatment advice

The Urology Team is made up of 13 Consultants, 8 Clinical Nurse Specialists, and 2 Cancer Support Workers along with a specialist administrative team to support the patient journey and experience. This has been enhanced by the move to a new Urology Department on Alstone Clinic.
