Job Role

Due to continued success, our Huddersfield-based client, a specialist in the design, manufacture, supply, and servicing of bespoke industrial equipment, is looking for a Quality Controller to join their team.

Duties:

Be the first point of contact when dealing with any customer issues or queries. Creating rework job cards for internal and customer issues. Record and follow rework job cards. Fulfil the CAPA (corrective and preventative actions) requirements and investigate the root cause of problems. Liaise with Supervisors, Managers, and Directors. Read and understand drawings, job pack instructions, and customers' specifications. Complete weekly and monthly analysis for data collection. Complete Certificates of Conformity, if required. Complete customer's non-conformance reports when required. Report any errors or major discrepancies to the SHEQ Manager / Technical Director immediately. Accountable for accepting responsibility for quality aspects and actively participating in quality efforts and supporting the Quality Policy. Discuss inspection results with the SHEQ Manager / Technical Director. Responsible for maintaining compliance with the Quality Management System.

Requirements:

Computer literacy is essential. Experience in metal manufacturing would be an advantage, but not essential. Contribute to maintaining a safe working environment by following safety policies and procedures and reporting any safety concerns. Experience in sheet metal manufacturing would be an advantage. Hardworking. Good at working under pressure. Willing to learn. Good housekeeping. Teamwork skills. Good time management.
