Finance Business Partner

at Activ reports to the Head of Finance and Reporting and is responsible for providing commercial skills assistance and support to Activ’s Operational teams including financial modelling, planning, budgeting and management reporting. To be successful in this position you will need strong relationship building and communication skills and enjoy supporting internal and external stakeholders. This role is a 6-month contract based at our Head office in Wembley with flexible work conditions on offer. A typical day in the role may look like: Driving an efficient month-end close process in conjunction with the Financial Accounting team Preparation of month end analysis on sales, funding and labour, reclassing and accrual journals based on analysis and business intelligence Provision of fortnightly and monthly reporting to the business Coordinating the Budget process in conjunction with Operations Development of the sales and funding detail for the annual operating budget and the quarterly Liaising with senior business staff to communicate issues and opportunities in their spans of control based on results and forecasted data. The ideal candidate will have: Minimum of five years in a Corporate, Government or Services environment Budget planning and monitoring experience, and Forecast planning and monitoring experience Demonstrated experience utilising automated financial and accounting reporting systems Strong negotiation skills and experience in managing substantial contractual arrangements Ability to implement planned change Tertiary Qualifications in Accounting (or related discipline) Membership of the Institute of Chartered Accountants (ACA) or the Australian Society of Certified Practicing Accountants (CPA) Submitting your application is easy , all we need is your current CV and a few questions answered and then one of the team will be in touch.
