Join our client, a reputable company based in Shenstone, Staffordshire, as a Finance Manager. This is a fantastic opportunity to become part of a dynamic team and contribute to a family-run business that is well established. You will be working as part of an SME and will be responsible for all Accounts duties. Hours of work are 8:30 am to 5.00 pm Monday to Friday. Benefits include free car parking and 28 days holiday including the Bank Holidays. As the Finance Manager, your key duties will include:

Preparation of the monthly payroll (approximately 40 employees), including using the engineer job-sheets to calculate overtime, on-call and expense payments. Monitor and allocate holiday entitlement and requests. Preparation and submission of the quarterly VAT returns. Monitor the daily cash flow and report all payments in. Reconcile the Cash books/Bank Accounts, daily & monthly. At month-end ensure all the control accounts, eg, sales, purchase, bank, nominal are reconciled and any anomalies investigated and explained. Liaise with the external Accountant and submit the information they require to prepare quarterly management and year-end accounts. Oversee the Sales and Purchase ledgers, in particular ensuring that all receipts are correctly allocated and that supplier accounts are reconciled monthly. Be the ‘first point of call’ for IT and accounting questions, and support on administrative areas such as vehicle management, fuel cards, insurance, utilities, and property rentals. As the Finance Manager, you will have:

Proven experience as a Finance Manager or in a similar role. Excellent analytical skills and attention to detail. Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment. Strong communication skills, both verbal and written. Proficient in financial software and Microsoft Office Suite. Salary is £32,000 per annum.
