Job Overview We are seeking a knowledgeable and detail-oriented Tax Senior to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in financial services and demonstrate expertise in various accounting software. As a Tax Senior, you will play a crucial role in managing tax compliance and providing strategic financial planning advice to our clients. This position requires analytical skills and the ability to work collaboratively within a team to deliver exceptional service. Responsibilities Prepare and review complex tax returns for individuals and businesses, ensuring compliance with current legislation. Conduct thorough analyses of financial statements and accounting records to identify tax-saving opportunities. Provide guidance on tax-related matters, including financial planning and accounts payable processes. Collaborate with clients to gather necessary documentation and provide insights on their financial position. Utilise accounting software such as Xero, Sage, and QuickBooks to manage client accounts efficiently. Stay updated on changes in tax laws and regulations to ensure accurate reporting and compliance. Assist in training junior staff members, sharing knowledge of best practices in tax preparation and financial accounting. Dealing with Private clients, CGT, IHT, and personal tax work. Skills Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret complex financial data. Proficiency in accounting software, including Xero, Sage, QuickBooks, and other relevant tools. In-depth knowledge of financial services and tax regulations applicable to various sectors. Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to explain technical concepts clearly. Strong organisational skills with attention to detail, ensuring accuracy in all aspects of work. Ability to work effectively under pressure while managing multiple deadlines. A proactive approach to problem-solving with a focus on client satisfaction. Experience with trusts and estates would be advantageous.
