Business Services Group based in Portsmouth, Hampshire, has a requirement for an interim Financial Accountant for a period of 3 months to support the preparation for Year End.
What will the Financial Accountant role involve?
Reporting to the Group Financial Controller, the main responsibilities of the Financial Accountant role will include:
Support the preparation of draft financial statements for all entities to be reviewed by the Group Financial Controller.
Lead on the annual audit providing the auditors with all requests in a timely manner to ensure the audit is signed off with minimal adjustments.
Preparation of monthly journals and balance sheet reconciliations for a number of accounts including the VAT, Tax and intercompany accounts.
Update the monthly IFRS16 calculation.
Completion of quarterly VAT returns.
Review weekly Bacs files for suppliers and approval in the bank.
Suitable Candidate for the Financial Accountant vacancy:
Applicants for the Financial Accountant vacancy will ideally hold a full accountancy qualification and have previous experience of working within a similar position within a Group Finance function.
The successful candidate will be immediately available and able to commit to a 3 month contract.
Additional benefits and information for the role of Financial Accountant:
The assignment will be for 3 months and will be offered on a hybrid working basis with the expectation that the appointed individual will attend the office 3 days a week.
