Role

The Revenue Assurance Specialist will be responsible for ensuring the accuracy and completeness of orders and sale invoices, minimizing the issuance of credit notes, resolving disputed invoices, and verifying that all direct costs associated with customer orders are accounted for before order closure. This role is crucial in maintaining the financial integrity and profitability of the company.

Key Responsibilities:

Invoice Accuracy:

Ensure all sale invoices are raised accurately and in a timely manner. Verify that invoices reflect the correct products/services delivered and adhere to contractual terms.

Credit Note Reduction:

Monitor and analyze the reasons for credit notes being issued. Implement measures to reduce the frequency and amount of credits raised. Work with relevant departments to address root causes of billing errors.

Dispute Resolution:

Investigate and resolve disputed invoices in a timely manner. Communicate effectively with customers to understand and address their concerns. Collaborate with internal teams to rectify issues and prevent future disputes. Provide cover for credit controller.

Order Review and Cost Recognition:

Review customer orders to ensure all direct costs have been recognised. Ensure a purchase order has been raised for all direct costs before the customer order is closed. Verify that all costs align with the project budget and contractual agreements.

Collaboration and Communication:

Work closely with the sales, finance, and operations teams to streamline processes and pricing. Provide regular updates and reports / KPIs to management on revenue assurance activities and findings. Assist in the development and implementation of policies and procedures to enhance accuracy and efficiency.

Qualifications:

Proven experience in revenue assurance, invoicing, or a similar role. Strong analytical skills and attention to detail. Excellent problem-solving abilities and the capacity to handle disputes professionally. Proficiency in accounting software and Microsoft Office Suite, especially Excel. Strong communication skills, both written and verbal. Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team environment.

Preferred Qualifications:

Experience in the cold chain rental sector. Familiarity with ERP systems such as MCS, Business Central, or similar.
