12th January 2025 This is an exciting opportunity to join the HR team as an HR Advisor that provides a range of services to NY Highways. North Yorkshire Council provides a range of SLA’s to NY Highways, which operates as a commercial business to provide highways services and maintenance to both the public and private sectors across the region. This role will focus on providing an advisory service to NY Highways colleagues on a range of employment matters, including the application of Employment policies and procedures. Responsibilities include: Producing monthly and quarterly workforce data reports. Supporting a rolling communications programme to promote HR activities. Managing and advising on a wide range of HR related issues with minimal supervision. Supporting workforce change and/or projects. Key skills required: Significant experience in HR management. Ability to work in a pressurised environment and manage a busy workload. Excellent IT skills, particularly in Microsoft Office, ResourceLink, Sharepoint, and data systems such as PowerBi. This role will be predominantly office-based at the Finkills Way Office in Northallerton, with regular travel across the county required to deliver services to operational areas of NY Highways.
