Lead Counsel – FMCG

A well-established, global food and beverage company, boasting high-quality produce. The Opportunity Unique prospect of joining this business to lead the legal, compliance and company secretarial function across ANZ. You will be based in Melbourne, reporting up into the APAC General Counsel in Asia. There is also a future succession opportunity offering regional exposure. Key Responsibilities Manage a billion-dollar asset portfolio. Drive differentiation and new product development, working in collaboration with industry experts. Work across a broad range of corporate commercial matters; drafting, reviewing and negotiating agreements. Provide transactional support related to M&A activities and advise on IP matters. Drive automation and sustainability initiatives. Ideal Candidate The ideal candidate will be a senior lawyer (minimum 7 years PAE) with solid corporate and commercial experience. You will have spent time in private practice at a reputable law firm and in-house in an industry such as FMCG, supply chain, healthcare, pharmaceuticals, manufacturing, or consumer goods. You will have strong organisational and leadership skills and be able to communicate effectively with staff at all levels in the business.
