Join Sevenoaks Hockey Club – Head of Junior Coaching Sevenoaks Hockey Club, a vibrant and ambitious club with nearly 500 junior members, is looking for a passionate and experienced Head of Junior Coaching to lead and inspire our thriving junior programme. About Us: Located in Sevenoaks, Kent, our club has a proud history and is recognised as an England Hockey Talent Centre. We cater to players of all abilities, from beginners to national champions, promoting participation, community, and excellence. Our juniors regularly compete at county, regional, and national levels, supported by a network of over 100 dedicated coaches, volunteers, and managers. The Role: The Head of Junior Coaching will play a pivotal role in shaping the future of junior hockey at Sevenoaks. This includes leading the development and delivery of our junior programme, inspiring young players to achieve their best while ensuring a safe, inclusive, and enjoyable environment for all abilities. Key Responsibilities: - Leading the planning, coordination, and execution of junior hockey programmes in line with the England Hockey Talent Framework. - Developing coaching strategies and overseeing coach development to maintain the highest standards. - Delivering high-quality coaching to junior squads. - Fostering seamless junior-to-senior player transition pathways and supporting school outreach and holiday camps. - Embodying the values of Sevenoaks Hockey Club, acting as a role model for young players and the coaching team. What We’re Looking For: - Demonstrable experience in junior hockey coaching and programme management. - An inspirational leader with excellent communication, organisational, and relationship-building skills. - A coaching qualification at a high level (or commitment to upskilling) and a sound understanding of the EH Talent Framework. - A commitment to safeguarding, holding relevant DBS and first aid certifications (or willingness to obtain).
