We have a new and exciting vacancy for a forklift driver to join our client's busy and well-established business in Edmonton. Our client is one of Europe's leading providers within their industry, operating across 12 countries and supporting more than 2k blue chip and regional customers.
The role is a temporary to permanent role to start as soon as possible, offering an hourly rate of £13.50 per hour. The working hours are 7am to 5pm, Monday to Friday, with a 1-hour lunch break. This role will be working within a fast-paced environment, outdoors within a yard, so candidates must be happy to work in all weathers.
About the Role:
You will be required to report to the Yard Manager and have a crucial role in operating a forklift, as well as sorting, repairing, and handling pallets while meeting all health & safety/compliance requirements in line with our client's policy. Key Responsibilities:
Working hard and in all weathers. Ensuring safe and efficient handling of goods and materials. Optimizing loads for operational efficiency. This is a very physical job, so candidates need to be fit. Learning the different grades of items. Making sure quality is adhered to. General housekeeping. Person Specification:
Experience using a forklift. Highly motivated self-starter. Passionate about colleague safety and compliance. Be a champion of our values internally and externally. Comply with our health and safety policy, and those of our customers. Be proud to work in a clean yard/office environment. Permanent Workers Eligible For:
